About the Flower Market

Gerry Gregg's passion for flowers started at a young age growing up in Chico, California. As a child, he would go to his family's cabin where he would pass the time by gathering wildflowers from the meadows and pulling moss from the trees and returning home to create arrangements using his wild imagination. His interest in design inspired him to take various art classes in high school. After high school, as well as a short time serving as a Marine, Gerry took his final paycheck from the Marines and bought himself a one way ticket to Europe. While living in Holland, Gerry became an english speaking tour guide for the Aalsmeer Flower Market. After returning to the states, Gerry became a top floral designer in Venice, CA where among other accomplishments he won awards as a float director for the annual Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena.

Inducted in the America Institute of Floral Design in 2005, Gerry's design's have placed first in various California competitions. He also competes in an annual charity event, the Beverly Hills Headdress Ball, sponsored by Las Floristas. His work has also been featured in many recent movies. His unique eye for florals, due to his background, has given way to his art and photography style.

Gerry is also a renowned photographer, creating artwork that are more like portraits rather than still life. Each image he shoots has an individual personality based on his unique perspective of either the flower or various subject matter. Even though Gerry's medium is photography, his work has a painterly ethereal feel.

Gerry Gregg's art works have been on display in Ojai, Venice California and currently you can go online to view some of his currant pieces at

He presently resides in Chico with his wife Carol where they own an award winning flower shop.
